Building a Social Media Empire: Step 1 – Find Your Niche and Create Your Accounts

In recent years, one of my homes has been building a social media empire .

I've built a very nice audience of over 3,500,000 subscribers on Facebook and Twitter. I use this audience to reach 50 to 100 million people a month.

I am able to monetize this audience successfully and generate some income ?

So I thought it would be interesting to write a series of messages explaining how I built my "social media empire" and start creating a whole new audience from scratch in my articles.

My goal is to show you the exact steps I used to build my audience and how I use this audience to generate income.

I believe that in 3 months I will have a substantial audience and that in 6 months I will be profitable on this project. I will create and share a spreadsheet showing the updated figures for how much I have spent, how much I have done, and how much my audience is growing week after week.

Let's start.

Step 1: Find your place

Finding a niche to build your audience and your empire is very important for several reasons:

You want to choose something that you will love to work every day.
You want to choose a niche that has a lot of growth potential.
You want to choose a niche that you can possibly make money.

We also discussed finding a niche in depth on the FPTraffic blog and this article is worth the detour.

I choose to build my audience around entertainment niches and more specifically I like making fan pages for TV shows. The majority of my social media audience is built around Fan Pages for TV shows and they have been very successful for me.

For example, I created a Fan Page on Facebook for the TV show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in 2011 and I posted on this Facebook page almost every days since I started it. Why? Because of the reasons I mentioned above. I love Always Sunny, I have found a ton of opportunity to grow with this audience over the years, and I have been able to earn a lot of money.

So, find a place you like and give it a try.

My new niche: That's us

This Is Us is a NBC television show that I have watched since its first broadcast last year. I thought about creating a Fan Page just after the first episode, but I decided to wait to see if it would increase in popularity and renew itself for a few more seasons. He did it and now it's time to take action !

I will not bore you with all the details of the show, but I highly recommend you check it out. They already have a great presence on social media, but I think there is an opportunity for me to capture the public's attention from a more fan-driven aspect.

I decided to call my Fan page and my Twitter account Everything TIU (All we are).

All about TIU Facebook Page

 Facebook page "width =" 1057 "height =" 1198 "/> </a> </p>
<p> I will not go into a lot of details about how to create your Facebook page because there is already a ton of content on how to do it, but feel free to check our "<a href= create a Facebook Page Guide "from the FPTraffic blog.

I recommend finding a username that is available on Facebook Twitter and the domain as .com . I use a tool called Launchaco to do this.

 launchaco "width =" 844 "height =" 494 "/> </p>
<p> Find your user name and then register the domain. You can then set up a forwarding email address on your new domain to use to create your Twitter account. I'm registering my domains via <a href= and it's really easy to setup an email forward. You can literally install it in minutes.

 next email "width =" 695 "height =" 197 "/> </p>
<p> Ok, now I've bought my domain, created my Facebook page and set up my Twitter account. </p>
<h3> All TIU Twitter </h3>
<p> <a href= Twitter account "width =" 1261 "height =" 700 "/> </a> </p>
<p> You will notice that I used the same profile picture and the same cover for the Facebook page and Twitter. I like to have some cohesion through the channels that I use for my social media marketing so that people easily recognize that they are connected. </p>
<p> Now that my accounts are created and configured, I'm ready to start posting. I will start to find and schedule the content to post on my accounts. Once I have a little published content, I will start using Facebook ads for J & # 39; like to develop my page and work on Twitter. </p>
<p> But, that comes in my next post! </p>
<p> Feel free to follow the accounts to see what I'm doing. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below. </p>
